The Whole Child
Care staged at a pace your child and family can reasonably implement.
A diagnosis of ADHD, PANS/PANDAS, autism, global developmental delay or a learning difficulty can bring valuable understanding and access to support. It may not answer every question you have about your child’s sleep, restricted eating, digestion, immune health, energy, behaviour or general wellbeing.
Mia works with parents who want those concerns considered carefully, without replacing the child’s medical or allied health care.
"Families often arrive with several reports and many possible next steps. The aim is not to find an explanation for every difficulty in one appointment. It is to review the information together, identify useful priorities and make the next decision more manageable."
- CLINICAL PRIORITISATION IN PRACTICE
I provide paediatric naturopathic care for children and adolescents with complex health and developmental presentations, including:
ADHD
autism
PANS/PANDAS
learning difficulties
global developmental delay
digestive and bowel concerns
restricted eating and nutritional concerns
sleep difficulties
immune health concerns
anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties.
I
The first consultation explores the pattern over time: presenting concerns, developmental and health history, nutrition, digestion, sleep, immune health, medicines, environment and the practical realities of family life. Existing pathology, specialist reports and treatment plans are considered where available.
✓ Comprehensive health history
II
Mia explains what appears most relevant to consider first, what needs observation, and what is best addressed with another member of the care team. Her clinical lens may include gut-brain and gut-immune relationships, nutrition, genetics, mitochondrial function, nutritional deficiencies and environmental exposures such as mould where they are relevant. No single factor or framework is assumed to explain every child.
✓ Focused & transparent priorities
III
Recommendations are designed to be realistic for the child and household. Follow-up appointments allow Mia to review what changed, what did not, and whether to continue, adjust or simplify the plan.
✓ Staged & reviewed pacing

Online consultations give your child the comfort of staying in their familiar home environment without the disruption or stress of clinic travel, waiting rooms or rush.

ONGOING CARE
Follow-up care focuses on reviewing your child’s response and deciding what deserves attention next. Mia may refine recommendations, discuss new information or help you prepare questions for another practitioner. The pace of care reflects your child’s needs and what your family can reasonably implement.

Testing is not a routine part of every plan. Mia first considers the history, existing results and whether another test would change a clinical decision. If she recommends one, she explains the question it is intended to answer, its limitations and the separate cost before you decide whether to proceed.
Evidence-informed · Discerning · Cost-transparent
Naturopathic care is complementary to medical assessment, prescribed treatment and allied health support. Mia respects existing diagnoses and treatment plans. With your consent, she can communicate relevant information to other practitioners when that would help coordinate care.
Collaborative · Respectful · Coordinated
No. Mia can discuss the concerns that bring you to an appointment. Where assessment or medical review is needed, she will encourage you to seek care from the appropriate practitioner.
Not automatically. Mia begins with the information already available and discusses recommendations in order of priority. Any testing or supplements should have a clear reason for being considered.
Yes. Mia’s care is designed to work alongside your child’s existing medical and allied health support. Changes to prescribed medicines should be discussed with the prescribing clinician.
Yes. Mia is based in Sydney and all consultations take place online. You can discuss your child’s history, share relevant documents and review a care plan without travelling to a clinic.
If you have been trying to hold many pieces of your child's health story together, an initial consultation creates time to review them with Mia and agree on the first priorities.
